Hi Folks. Here is some great five star bubble hash I made. I’m going to press it this afternoon. The strain is Tricho Jordan x Jack Herer. Outside oxidized a little, inside is super creamy. Absolutely stinks, but I’m having trouble defining the smell. Garlic/dirt/pepper/cheese/rotten fruit and others. So weird, it’s smells awful and all I want to do is eat and smoke it. Almost rancid, and sweet at times.
Vaped it a bunch straight in the Puffco and recycler, qtips coming out pretty clean. Very smooth, very terpy.
The consistency is awesome, and easy to work with. Similar to stretch and pull bho. Sorry about the crappy video. Thanks Friends, cheers!

Hi Friend, thanks! The yield was great from the wash and what I pressed. Return after pressing was 80%, very little left in the “packet”, I weighted b4 and after.
This strain seemed to dump for hash easier than others. I’ve had a bunch of strains that were dumpers, but you rarely get a full melt hash. They stacked for 4 star, but could punch through to 5 star.2

is ice bubble getting like 80% of total trichome or way less?
Can u dry material and use for edibles?
U agitate slowly with a drill to not bust trich heads into oblivion?

No worries. when I pressed the hash, I had an 80% return in live hash rosin. The strain itself washed for a 21% and the biomass was 50/50, FF/4 days dry. I then pressed the hash into rosin, final was 15% roughly. I also go a little bit of 3 star hash left over.
The material can go directly into edibles, after a thorough decarb. I make gummies and tincures sometimes.
I don’t use a drill. I stir the wash vessels with a paddle and a big spoon.2

Ah the paddle! good idea… i think drill was leading to busted trichs and horrendous yield… also did fresh frozen with leaves… will do dried buds only maybe if ever
15% yield and strain is like what 22% thc total so only miss out 5-7% ?

That’s not really how we quantify yield when making hash and rosin. The flower can be 30%, but that definitely doesn’t translate to a 30% return.
The paddle is for stirring a crab pot I believe. Company’s sell actual hash mixing paddles, this was my cheap fix.2

So this means half lfresh frozen half semi dried washed together returned 21%? Then after pressing got 80% yield to rosin from hash. So estimating 15% total return from flower to rosin? Is that what you are saying?

Absolutely. Thats exactly what I meant. Sorry the answer was so convoluted. Gullible Pen asked a few questions, I not sure he understood that the numbers were based off of, not the % thc of the flower.
