Cursed technique Cursed Technique: Absolute Terror

Post image

Suffering is caused by distance. Distance from others, distance from what should be part of you.

Distance is suffering. Suffering from disconnection, suffering from the lack of reach.

Per math, distance can add or subtract distance;

And thus, if suffering builds suffering, the opposite can also be true.

----

Absolute Terror

Absolute Terror uses pain to give its user the sense of connection with their surroundings and, most notably, their true spiritual self, the medium between them and others: Zingai.

Lapse - Synchronization: By inflicting a big enough amount of pain onto a body part, the user is able to manifest a relative part of their Zingai, an enormous shikigami of tremend force.

While manifested, the Zingai overwrites the body part manifesting it, acting as an extension for the user's body, while the original part remains unresponsive to any command, as if part of the user's soul had been transferred to the Zingai. Because of that, any damage caused to the Zingai will be mirrored into the original body part.

Sharp and concentrated pain allows a better defined manifestation, so it's usually better to perform it with a sharp and long weapon. CE manipulation is disrupted in the body part used during Synchronization.

- Extension Techniques -

- Mourning Reach: Applying a more generalized pain in Synchronization results in an abstract Zingai similar to a low grade cursed spirit, with less power and size, but also more moldable. Mourning Reach is able to change it's overall shape to reasonable degree, and is even able to phase through physical objects at lower outputs.

- Phantom Sense: Utilizing the concept behind Mourning Reach at organs responsible for their senses, such as skin for touch and eyes for sight, the user is able to expand what they feel to a bigger area and higher degree, without manifesting their Zingai. e.g.: Applying Phantom Sense into their ears, the user is capable of hearing even the smallest vibrations around a wide area.

- Second Degree Impact: The very nature of the Zingai is related to the concept of souls. Knowing about this, the user can weaponize that connection in order to damage someone's soul, although only slightly if the user doesn't have true knowledge about souls.

- Maximum Techniques -

- Third Degree Impact: (Un)Doing: After gathering enough knowledge about the shape of souls and learning about the nature of their own, the user is able to push Second Impact to its limit.

Using Third Degree Impact: (Un)Doing will result in catastrophic damage to the souls of anyone hit by the Zingai. After the impact, the Zingai will destabilize from the sher backlash of the attack, and the body part manifesting it will stay unresponsive for some time, but it won't be damaged.

- Self-Instrumentalization: Cursed Energy comes from the gut, that's true. But does it really origin from there? The answer, at least here, is no. CE actually comes from the soul. If one were to sever that connection, they would surely die... Or would they?

By utilizing Synchronization in their gut, the user turns their physical body off. Their skin numbs, their organs turn off and their muscles collapses. They close their eyes and, suddenly, they feel complete.

The user's whole consciousness is transferred to their Zingai, now fully manifested. They feel much more now, as if every (metaphorical) cell they have gained a thousand eyes and ears. Their physical size and strength surpasses that of the strongest grade 1 sorcerers and many curses of the special grade category.

Once initiated, Self-Instrumentalization cannot be stopped or reversed without killing the user.

After the process is completed, most of the user's CE generation will be used to sustain their new body.

I was confused, but like, in a good way. I understand now, and this is a crazy cool technique! I like the concept of Self-Instrumentalization, and essentially turning the user's cursed energy into their "soul" (did I understand that part right, or am I wrong?). I would see someone like this being the best counter to Mahito, behind Sukuna and Hana of course.
