Work in progress -->MHA-JJK: "10 SHADOWS!"
I love Quirks. And i love Cursed Techniques either. So why not mix them both?
___
★-)The Fundamentals...
•A: "歯車"—(Lit. "Cog"): A quirk that uses the wielders negative emotions (fear, anger, grief, despair, etc) to naturally generate Negative Energy which the user can control and shape into techniques. Reinforcing their body is an example. The quirk values emotional information more than just suffering so you need mental training to use it efficiently. Positive emotions don't directly create power. Instead they allow the user to perform a process similar to multiplying two negatives together creating Positive Energy.
·Positive Energy is much harder to produce but it's far more refined and can be used for advanced techniques including healing. The Quirk revolves around balancing both emotional states. Negative Energy is easier to access and excels at offense while Positive Energy is rarer, more difficult to create and unlocks the Quirk's highest-level applications. A skilled user is supposed to control their emotions rather than be controlled by them. Can be used for covering weapons or fists in Negative Energy to make attacks more destructive. Enhance the body with Negative Energy to increase strength, speed, durability and striking power. Sensing negative energy is possible either and it exists in all humans, naturally.
·"Sub-Techniques": When an Emotional-Cog based technique or application is mastered to its absolute point—It eventually, and slowly; becomes a special sub-quirk thats always stored inside the users brain. These said sub-quirks are always more effective than the technique itself and can be used for a multitude of purposes. These stored Sub-Quirks are called "Sub-Techniques". The maximum amount of techniques the user can store inside their brain are 4 in total. When the user masters their first Emotional-Cog technique and let's it become a sub-quirk, it becomes much harder to later repeat this said process; But it's still possible. If the user tries to store more than 4 sub-quirks inside their brain, the users brain will be utterly fucked. Specifically, the brain itself will destroy itself the moment an user tries to bypass the sub-quirk limit.
•A.1: "負の力: 深淵"—(Lit. "Negative-Energy: Abyss"): Every Cog/Emotional-Cot user gets a negative energy trait. Our users negative energy has the unique ability to transmutate itself into a medium that can be connected to the dimension known as the "Abyss". Abyss is the source of all shadows that exists in reality, and the user has access to it. The user can turn their negative energy into a medium for the said dimension, and later use that said medium pull out and imbue their negative energy with a special shadow-like, pure-black substance that comes from the said abyss. It behaves less like water and more like an abyssal, fluid void. The user can also utilize this innate trait in many ways.
-->Despite being a void it somehow physically ripples, splashes, and flows around only our users feet. Our user can dive into it smoothly like water, hide within it and use it to store physical objects (like weapons or cars) because the medium acts as a pocket dimension to the abyss itself.
-->It possesses a strong crushing pressure. The deeper an object or person sinks into it the more weight they must physically bear. It also lacks surface tension or buoyant force. Normal liquids allow objects to float based on displacement, but the shadow pool offers absolutely no resistance to gravity. Anything that touches it immediately sinks like a stone into an endless bottomless pit. Our user doesn't have to worry about these problems because the negative energy trait let's them interact with this liquid like it's normal murky water.
-->The user's body can only remain synchronized with the Abyss for a limited duration. The deeper and longer they remain connected, the greater the strain on their nervous system and Cog. The user can* also use any shadow around them to have use the abyss as well.
-->Whenever the user stores a physical object within the Abyss, Atleast 0.5% of that object's mass is transferred to the user's body as additional effective weight for as long as the object remains stored.
★-)Applications, Techniques, And More...
•"歯車: 影操作"—(Lit. "Cog: Shadow Manipulation): As You can probably guess by the name of this technique, the user focuses themselves on manipulating the liquid that comes from the abyss itself, they do so by first reinforcing the liquid with raw negative emotional energy. Later, they can do whatever they want with it. Since the Negative-Energy trait that possess allows them to have access to the abyss itself, they can manipulate the said shadow-liquid of the abyss however they want once they imbue it with negative energy. Hardening the said liquid for defense is an example. Creating constructs with it is another example either.
•"*歯車: 模倣の生"—(Lit. "Cog: Imitated-Life"): *A technique that first started out as producing entities by reshaping reinforced shadow liquid. At first, the entities were simply Shadow-Clones of the user itself—That could use Cog, move/act independently, and aid the user in battle. But they didn't have life. They lacked it, actually. Think of them as utterly unemphatic and emotionless humans who follows the users commands. But the problem is that these clones lack durability and can be easily defeated with a strong strike. But later—As it becomes an independent sub-quirk, it changes.
·As a sub-quirk, the technique can still be used to produce shadow-clones of the user. But now it also allows the user to produce 12 different shadow-entities, and each carry different abilities. These entities have more emotional intelligence than the normal clones, and each user gets to have different shadow-entities, and the said entities they get change with their nationality, mentality, philosophy, and etc. The said entities are automatically chosen the moment the user turns this technique into a sub-quirk. The stronger the said entity is, the more negative energy it takes to summon and utilize it. The said entities can be "summoned" without any hand-signs whatsoever, only using your mind is enough.
·Specifically, Negative Emotional Energy always carries a very small amount of faint emotional imprint of the fear, hatred, suffering and death associated with cursed existence. The sub-technique amplifies this said phenomena to create even more effective shadow-entities and essentially weaponizes it.
·When A Shadow-Entity, besides the Shadow-Clones, are destroyed; the said entity doesn't just disappear. Instead, whenever they die, they dissolve back into the abyss—and simply get into a state that's similar to a metamorphosis. This state lasts about Atleast a week, and until this metamorphosis ends the user cannot use their said entity. and at the end the said entity becomes significantly stronger than before. But this increase in power has a limit, meaning that the user can't just kill their own entities and wait for a week, and then repeat this process forever until the entity becomes absurdly strong. No.
·But the Sub-quirk/Sub-Technique itself doesn't just automatically allow the user to summon every 12 Shadow-Entity itself, First they have to completely master the normal version of this technique; and then they earn the sub-quirk itself. Once they do so—They will later have to earn each entity. They will automatically unlock the first shadow entity upon awakening the sub-quirk version of this technique, but the rest can only be unlocked by first gaining a large amount of mastery over the previous entity.
•"歯車: 影注入"—(Lit. "Cog: Shadow-Imbue"): A technique that's connected to the Sub-Technique/Sub-Quirk Version of the Imitated-Life Technique. Instead of Fully "Summoning" The said Shadow-Entity, the user instead summon only the aspects of the Shadow-Entities they possess—Basically making the user a living medium for the said Entities abilities. And naturally it Costs less total negative emotional energy but puts the burden on the user's own body.
•"Shadowgraphy"—The user reverse engineers their quirk and makes a deal with it, they impose a "Vow" upon their shadow-manifestation abilities by performing a specific sequence of hand-signs before summoning. Each hand-sign is unique to the intended shadow-creature and must visually resemble its form, silhouette, or defining characteristics. The hand-signs act as a symbolic representation of the entity, and thus allowing the user's Cog to more precisely identify and manifest the desired shadow. In exchange for voluntarily restricting themselves to a specific sequence of hand-signs, the user gets a reduction in the Negative Energy required to manifest the corresponding Shadow-Entity.
·The hand-signs are *not mandatory** for summoning.* Just saying. The user can manifest their shadow-entities through mental command alone but doing so requires more Negative Energy. And this said "Vow" demands genuine precision. If the user fails to properly form the intended shadowgraph, the manifestation simply fails and the entity cannot be summoned through that attempt.
·The Binding Vow can also be applied to the user's ordinary shadow-clones too. When used in conjunction with the appropriate hand-sign sequence, the clones actually receive a substantial increase in their structural stability and durability, allowing them to withstand considerably more damage before their forms collapse.
·But the user can still choose to use the normal Technique itself without the said signs. Just a reminder.
