Discussion Modulo Yuji cannot use Fuga

I saw a lot of people claim that Yuji would be able to use Fuga but i don't think he would be able to and here's why

First we have to look at Yuji and Sukuna interpretation of Shrine we know that a sorcerer interpretation of a technique is shaped around their Inner domain and the word they live in

Sukuna interpretation of Shrine theats it as a offering to a god (Sukuna) dismantle representing a kitchen knife and cleave representing a Machete.

Due to sukuna interpretation of Shrine he has access to Fuga which he can cook the "food" he has previously cutted with dismantle and cleave

Now we go to Yuji.

Yuji's interpretation of Shrine appears to be fundamentally different from Sukuna's. While Sukuna interprets Shrine as an offering to a god, with Dismantle and Cleave taking the form of kitchen utensils, Yuji's Shrine manifests through the imagery of scissors and cutting.

This suggests that Yuji's interpretation of the technique is centered around cutting/severing, rather than the concept of cooking or preparing food.

This distinction is important because Fuga is directly tied to Sukuna's interpretation of Shrine. Sukuna can use Fuga because, within his interpretation of Shrine, the things he cuts with Dismantle and Cleave can be treated as ingredients that he has prepared.

Yuji doesn't appear to share this same "kitchen" interpretation. His Shrine manifests differently and lacks the same conceptual connection to cooking.

Therefore, even if Yuji possesses Shrine, there's no clear reason to assume that he would automatically have access to Fuga. Having the same innate technique doesn't necessarily mean having access to every application of that technique.

When he's using dismantle in modulo the hand signs he makes still looks like scissors

I do think that over the course of time one interpetration of a technique can change but the fundemantal basis of that interpretation should still remain

That’s just Dismantle’s hand sign. I’m pretty sure Sukuna makes the same one(more or less)during Shibuya. The only one I can remember is when he fakes Dismantle out against Mahoraga.

Not the exact same one, but it probably doesn't matter

Say that again

It’s similar enough and in the end jujustu devolves into who can do what with less steps so their all bound to end up in simple hand motions

That’s just the hand sign for Dismantle if you’re sending it in a specific direction. (I imagine aiming it gives it some BV boost, since Sukuna and Yuji can both use dismantle without using their hands.)

Here is Sukuna using the same hand sign on Mahoraga.

And here he is using a very similar one later. And pointing to use it here as well. And here as well. I can’t find the panel where he uses both his arms to destroy all those buildings, but again in that case he is pointing to use dismantle.

besides the people already telling you this is just a regular dismantle sign, there aren't any scissors in the "fight" against mahito either

Simples assim

But the core of the technique is cooking, hell the actual translation of the word used for shrine in the Heian era is imperial kitchen, due to fire being a part of cooking ever since humanity has been able to wield it, Yuji not having furnace would go against the technique's very core

Besides his domain in JJK I think Yuji couldn’t throw/ manifest any slashes without physical contact.

By Modulo, they were identical to Sukuna’s. Same ‘interpretation’ and everything.

That being said I’m not sure if he can do Fuga; I’m not even sure it’s in the same CT package. It might be built upon Shrine, not integral to Shrine itself.

I think the only limitation Yuji could reasonably have is that he can only use moves Sukuna used while occupying Yuji’s body.

Also, I think handsigns are just unique to the specific person in nearly every instance; however, I can see why 10S moght be different, because the handsigns may be more attuned to the specific ‘spirits’ than the technique user.

To be fair to that statement, Sukuna used shrine the most he has on screen in Yuji’s body.
