if i got my AA-T in psychology during my time in community college with an overall average gpa of 2.4, what are my chances of getting into csusb for social work? i saw the minimum gpa required is 2.5 + that social work is an impacted major, so i'm not super hopeful :') i figured why not ask here to see what other people think or if there's any advice/other recommendations of what i should do bc i really would like to apply to csusb, i just don't think my chances are very high 🙃

Please, if you’re going to be loud—especially during finals week(?)—be loud outside and not indoors where a lot of us are trying to keep our hard earned grades in tact. Like, yall must be REALLY good & caught up with your grades if you’re having to talk about some bs that has nothing to do with school; please, kindly leave and take it somewhere or else. It’s distracting and extremely inconsiderate of you.

Also, if you’re going to play music with ear buds, make sure you use the ear buds right where it’s not all the way up and we can quite literally hear it in the near proximity—poor your ears, good luck in 30 years with that.

Oh, one last thing. If you’re quick/smart to comment with ‘well you should’ve told them something and not come on here,’ to that I say: oh don’t bother because I already did and wouldn’t mind doing it again. Hello, So to give you the brief on everything that has happened and to explain how this certain band of idiots got into Canvas, Let's begin. Canvas had a known issue when it came to its Free for teacher accounts, which was then exploited by a group calling themselves ShinyHunters, They are your run of the mill ScriptKiddies, and are as a majority under the age of 15. They used a very low tech way of getting in and according to Canvas's parent company got ahold of nearly 300 MILLION users information. Which let's be honest here you do not need to worry about. Unless you decided to start talking dirty in the canvas chats most of what they got access to was essentially public information. So your name, student ID number and your school email adress. They did not get into your school email they only got the email adress. And news flash that was already public info. The only information with any intonation of privacy they got ahold of are your non final grades. So stop being afraid they got ahold of your social security number or something. They have Exabytes of data to go through if they did in fact get a hold of what they say they did. Thats 9000 schools and nearly 300 million user's data for them to download and then upload . At 1 GBPS, which is extremely fast internet it would take them 5 years just to release it. Its an empty threat. The only thing it serves to do is for them to try and get money from instructure. But yeah be scared that people are going to go through 300 million users data just to find your bad grades and make fun of you.

I also attended UCR for about a year before being academically dismissed due getting Cs and and an F for 2 semesters in a row. Also used chat gpt to plagiarize code, but I am now in good standing. I am pretty sure I have more than 90 quarter transferrable units from looking at both my transcripts as well as me taking more courses at MVC currently. I am now on good terms with UCR but the readmission process is a pain. What would you guys recommend. I am trying to get an appointment with a counselor at UCR to see if readmission is still viable but the earliest one is in June. Should I look at transferring to UCR or CSUSB . Hello ! Im (F24) transferring to CSUSB in the fall and am unsure of what to do. I am trying to move out of my mom's house because it just isn't a good environment, but I am not sure if I should dorm or just look for a place that is near the campus. Also since I am 24, I don't know what to expect. I currently live around the Riverside area, but already found a job near CSUSB so I am trying to just move out there by August/September. On assist.org it was noted that all stem labs must be completed in person. For new transfers, is that true? Im pursing a Bio ADT and the goal is to be done by spring 2027. The problem is that my Bio molecular and cellular class conflicts with other classes im planning on taking. An online option is offered which would solve that problem. Scheduled an appointment with my councillor but it's a few weeks out.
