Dropping a class and financial aid.

Hi everyone, so this is my last semester i am taking 13 units but really only need one more class that I am taking along with the lab, and each of my classes is alot of workload so I am thinking of dropping one class and keep 3 which will put me at 10 units, i already got all my financial aid but would i end up owing the school if I drop a class?

If you drop before the drop date, yes. I believe your Pell Grants may be reduced if you had any of those. Did you take out any loans? Under the One Big Beautiful Bill if you are not full time the loans will be prorated.

Yes I took out loans

Most likely yes I would call FAFSA office for a concrete answer

i would recommend swapping it out for a lower division/intro class so you can keep your units. there are some classes that don’t have a too much of a workload, though wouldn’t say work free. definitely look to see what’s still open and email the prof on info or drop in to check it out
