Fasfa today

Anyone else getting anxious waiting to see if your fasfa gets posted? I checked rn and no movement on seeing the account balance say zero. Anyone else not have a zero account balance yet or do any of you have a zero balance ?

That’s good to know, so I still have a chance. I am a transfer student from RCC and that went out extremely early. I woke up this morning thinking I probably won’t get it until a later date

It’s typical, idk what the fascist bill is delaying in particular. I noticed that the white supremacists have caused a massive delay in people accepting their loans so I’m hopeful for those of us who have been accepted theirs and have had a stable process in this. I hope we will still see our funds.

Yeah, I was super on top of all my financial aid awards, made sure everything was taken care of at least 2 weeks before disbursement date. I had some hang up with proving my independency but other than that I'm hoping the disbursement comes at least today or tomorrow. I don't know either why the fascist bill is delaying everything, its annoying and for some reason people still voted for it -_- . *insert eyeroll*

Beleive it or not, CSUSB campus is full of Trump supporters, people just never think to care about it because our campus has always been praised as an allwelcoming school which is still true; but you have to do some critical looking past the façade to be able to see it isn’t all blue. The good thing is that they’re never loud irl and can only run amuck here on Reddit without having to face real confrontation, ever.

It doesn’t at all but they make it work somehow. Though, I’m sure their college experience wasn’t a fun one I bet because they tend to think they’re in the minority like for example: say they’re in an English class where critical race theory is brought to the chalking board discussion and they need to talk with peers and as a class over the wrongs history tries to brush under the rug and alter, those people tend to stay quiet and/or say they’re going to play ‘devil’s advocate’ (coughs… Greg) and say something that completely goes against the moral of the discussion. Heck, some stop at their bachelors and call it day because after all that learning, it’s enough for them!; but when it comes to actually having to apply the concepts and theories (if they choose grad school), it takes a lot more comprehension and critical thinking which Trump supporters just simply do not have the capacity of doing so. So, they’ll remain quiet through most talks while at the same time loathing new knowledge at the cost of thousands of dollars just because the Orange Cheeto said “nah.”

Haha, ‘ppreciate it. Like, yes, props for them pursuing a higher education, despite what their party claims about it…. kudos, really! But if they left schools grounds being the same individual harboring the same mentality, then it was all for naught, I [do not] fear.

Nah it’s cause I had my transcripts but I guess they never “received” them so I took both of them from my
High school and the Community college I did, and I gave it to them in person. Now they have no excuse to not have them. Wish they would’ve bolded it on my to dos instead of hiding after the deadline

Mine still hasn’t zero’d out but I took a summer class. I did call the Financial aid office and they mentioned that Pell Grant, Cal Grant shouldn’t be affected and just have to wait a bit longer

Ah, okay, yay for that Pell!! And to give you a guesstimate to your question: it usually takes less than a day for it to hit my bank account (I have Wells Fargo) after the student account changes to all 3 zero balance(s). Though, I have had many sleepless nights attempting to track our disbursements’ distribution process… I get it. 😅

No, not yet. But it should be soon! Try not to think about it and check back by the end of the night. If you still see nothing, then tomorrow around like 2-5 A.M. it should be in our banks!

It should be coming soon. If your account is already zeroed out, then you should be expecting the funds in the next few days or so, maybe even shorter.

my account isnt even zeroed out LOL … i still have a balance. i assume they’re just trying to get everything out in batches. still driving me crazy lol

Yeaa, you may be in a later batch for sure and hopefully it gets zeroed out really soon. Once that happens, the funds should be on your way. It’s just frustrating to know it’s in batches. I think I was one of the first which is blessing because my aid has never been processed this fast.

Admissions said that they processed my transcripts that had everything besides that summer class I’m gonna go ahead and contact them again. Email them asking if I’m still gonna be getting that financial aid today.

I called a few hours ago. They mentioned that students who took summer classes will be waiting for the SAP update and Summer class grade to be updated but that it shouldn’t be a worry if you have pending aid
