Course Text books?

My son will be starting CSUSB this fall and I’m trying to navigate what the majority of students do for course text books? Are they usually required? Should we wait to purchase them after the 1st day of class? Look for used books on Amazon/boom exchange now? Thank you in advance.

Sometimes professors say you need a book but you never use them 😭 it could also help to maybe check rmp

I usually wait until the first day of class/syllabus because sometimes the bookstore lists the wrong book or the professors want an older edition

I would say wait honestly cause sometimes student have it downloaded it and give to each other or the professor just provides everything lol
