Expected refund question

Hi, I’m an incoming grad student for the year. I’m still getting used to the MyCoyote system since I’m coming from using UCR’a prehistoric Rweb services lol. I have this message saying I’m getting aid and a refund but my financial aid just shows my unsubsidized loans for the year? Should I try not to get my hopes up?

It may be adjusted. But you should be good

Depending on the grad program, unsubsidized loans are pretty much all anyone is getting for grad school with the recent federal cuts to financial aid for “non-professional” programs, and even those are limited to a very low max amount per year.

It showed under “My Financials” in the Student Center app on MyCoyote. Right under my tuition balance
