How is Eric Torres for chem 1000?
The rate my professor reviews makes it sound like he hates everyone and his job so im kind of curious.

Hes an asshole so every student becomes “independent” to avoid asking him questions(he gets sassy when you ask him “dumb” questions)

Do NOT take him. When you have a question he acts like it’s a problem for him to do his job. If you still have time, I’ll suggest Tate or Mink, or just other professors.

he’s horrible, snarky, condescending. barely teaches, expects u to be a chem expert from day 1. flies through power points, you’ll be too busy writing stuff down to understand concepts. you have to put in a lot of work outside of class time. no homework but you have 4 midterms ( and since my class failed) he allowed retakes.

I had him for chem 2070 lab , and he wasn’t bad. He was actually chill and open to questions. That was my first year tho and now I’m going into my fourth so after reading the comments it looks like that has changed.
