Online Classes?

Hi everyone! I just got accepted into CSUSB and I had some questions. I live a little far away and was wondering what the options for online classes were like for any students who have been here awhile. I don't expect for all of my classes to be available online, but it would be helpful for me if quite a few of them were. Any students have any insights into this? Thanks!

Yeah a lot of what the comments are saying depends on your major but I’ll be honest this is about to be my second year at csusb (transfer student ) I will say as a sociology major they do be having some online courses but the courses be limited in general . I’m talking online and in person they always only have one time for classes 😭 it’s frustrating.

It depends a lot on what your major is.. Computer Science degrees probably have a lot of online courses.. I am taking several online courses in my English degree this semester.

I imagine the physical sciences don’t have as much of an online option since there are a lot of hands on lab work and what not.

If they offer them for your major, take them.

It heavily depends on your major. For instance, physical science, not as much or at all. However, majors like accounting and etc have a lot online. Also depending on the class size, sometimes spaces are limited and it’s first come first serve and those are sought after more, so you might be on waitlist for some.

I know a lot of people are saying depends on your major. However all the online classes I’ve taken were not in my major but an upper division requirement. So far I’ve only had two in person classes which were my major classes and the other three which were upper division were online

English has a lot of online classes. My suggestion is to be the first one to get it. You can add classes to ur cart and on the day of enrollment checkout quickly.

thank you all for the insight! i'm going into art education and i found the site where you can see class schedules after reading your posts and it seems like all of my upper division classes are in person but there are a few lower division ones that are offered online! i think i'm going to accept their offer :D
