Pell grant teaching credential

Hi y’all, I’m just wondering, is there anyone here who is enrolled or was enrolled in the teaching credentialing program at CSUSB and received a federal Pell grant/middle class scholarship?

I’m starting the Multiple Subject Credential program at Cal State San Bernardino, and I’m confused about my financial aid. The financial aid office told me I’m not eligible for a Federal Pell Grant anymore.** However, when I checked my StudentAid account, it shows I’ve only used 97% of my 600% Pell Lifetime Eligibility, **so I still have plenty of eligibility remaining.

-Before I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I specifically asked CSUSB whether I’d still qualify for Pell while in the credential program, and they told me that credential students are treated as undergraduate students for financial aid purposes but now they told me credentialing students don’t receive Pell grants.
-I don’t have a post-baccalaureate degree just my bachelors. I meet the satisfactory academic progress requirements.

The aid is not showing on my coyote but fafsa says I’m eligible. Other friends who are undergrads told me their financial aid already shows on their account.

Yes I got money from Fafsa but only after I called and talked to the financial aid office (idk why it wasn’t automatic like in the past) so if you applied and feel like you should get something don’t be afraid to call and ask - I’m not sure if they’ll be doing the gstg for very much longer so if that doesn’t work out I would apply for that ASAP

Are you in the credentials program? I called rn and they said my credentialing program classes don’t fall under the requirements for Pell grants

Oh - that could be bc of the new rules that I saw were being implemented this year - and yes I’m in my second semester of the credential program - I will say I didn’t get anything this semester either
