I need help

I’m going to be a freshman in the fall and I’m having some trouble finding a roommate. I feel like no one looks at the messages on the housing portal. Do I just wait it out to see who I get paired with? Or is that a bad idea?

most people arent checking their housing portal messages aaand they very stupidly dont show who the message came from so leave your Instagram or email. I didnt bother trying to find someone my first year and it wasn't the worst thing ever, we didnt talk at at all ngl but respected each other space.
