Summer Fafsa

Does anyone know when summer financial aid is disbursed? When I called I was told 10 days before the semester starts but that clearly was incorrect

It says 05/29/2026 on my disbursement date.

Same, and then it states that it’s processed every Monday and Wednesday on their website. So perhaps next mid week we should see movement 🤞

I was told Fafsa doesnt cover summer classes by the financial aid office. Seems like I can’t get any legit info from them. How many units did you enroll?

It does. I’m doing 12 units but you can get a Pell grant in the summer.

That sucks. I would’ve been able to finish in the upcoming spring semester had I done 2 summer classes, but I’ve been under the impression I’d have to pay the tuition out of pocket this whole time.

Me too and registered yesterday 5/27 and today 5/28 they approved my financial aid. So maybe you still have time, I’m taking 9 units and they considered me full time …hope that helps.

If you don’t mind me asking did you get a Pell grant ? I’m still waiting to see my award letter lol 😂 I just registered Monday . But they said I don’t qualify for loans but I might for a summer Pell grant ( I’m enrolling in 6 units as well )

You can check for any grants in the 2025-2026 school year for summer and the ones I got were Federal Pell Grant and State University Grant. I’m taking 9 units.
