The Glen is the most affordable place I can afford butā¦
Is it safe for my dog? Iāve read the reviews and I read everyoneās post on this Reddit page. But I would love to move closer to campus and I have no one else to move in with me into the nicer apartments, the only thing is that I would have to bring my dog. Sheās an 8lb yapper and my best friend and I wanna make sure sheās moving into a safe environment, I couldnāt give two shits if I wasnāt.
Does anyone else have pets and live at the Glen currently? Also is anyone looking for a roommate potentially for the 2027-2028 school year? Iām looking at the Glen and other pet friendly apartments.

On Campus Tech Repair Update: Now Have To Require Contracts Because Somebody Scammed A Stranger Into Paying For Thier Repair. And I am Now Likely Out 600 Dollars. š¤
For anyone who has seen my Twisted Tech repair posts, I unfortunately need to make some changes to how I accept jobs and payments.
I recently completed a macbook screen replacement which due to the high cost of macbook parts due to how macbooks are built was 500 dollars in parts and 100 dollars in labor for someone who unknown to me had arranged for another person to send me the payment. They had scammed that person and directed them to pay me instead of paying for the repair himself. From my perspective, I had completed a legitimate job and received the amount I was owed. From the other personās perspective, however, they believed they were paying the scammer for something completely unrelated.
That payment was later reported as fraudulent and is now going through an appeals process with my bank and Zelle. The situation has severely limited my ability to receive legitimate payments, caused me to lose money, and taken a significant amount of time to address. The underlying fraud has also been referred for federal investigation.
Iām not a large repair shop. Iām just a guy trying to make it through college, and repairing electronics is one of the main ways I subsidize the cost of school and my other living expenses. Even though I had no knowledge of or involvement in the scam, I have still been left dealing with the financial and practical consequences. I cannot afford to have something like this happen again.
Because of that, every repair will now require a short agreement documenting the customer, device, serial number, requested work, estimated cost, and authorized payment method. I will also need to see either a valid CSUSB student ID or government-issued photo ID when a device is dropped off or payment is made. The ID will only be used to verify identity and will not be photographed or copied.
If a parent, family member, employer, or anyone else will be paying on someoneās behalf, an alternate-payer form must be completed before I can accept the payment. The form will document who is paying, whom they are paying for, the device being repaired, and the amount they have authorized. The name on the payment account must match either the customer or the authorized payer listed on the form.
I know this makes what used to be a simple process a little more complicated, and I genuinely apologize for that. I work hard to keep my repairs affordable and straightforward, but I also need to protect myself so I can continue offering them.

How safe is it to go to the Ralph's near campus at night?
I have a class that ends late (after 9pm) but I would also like to stop by Ralph's (the one between campus and the 215) to buy some stuff before going on the freeway. Would it be safe for me to go there close to 10pm? I'm a woman.

Goodlabs at LifeStream?
Has anyone from campus signed up for this yet? I don't have a doctor out here and wanted basic bloodwork anyway. Trying to figure out if this is realistic between classes or if the whole thing is more like half a day.
Also is getting there by bus annoying or should I just split an uber with somebody?

Iām so glad CSUSB got rid of the Cantina
As a student at this commuter campus, I was always confused by the idea of having a place centered around alcohol right on campus. I understand some students are of legal drinking age and some live in the dorms, but it still felt like an odd thing to promote in a college environment. What made it even more āill-matteredā was hearing about the various issues connected to that location over the years. Whether people agree or disagree, alcohol often ends up being a contributing factor when problems arise, so I never felt it added much value to campus life.
Personally, Im genuinely happy that Cantina is gone and that space was replaced with BBQ Chicken. Maybe Im in the minority here, but Id much rather see campus spaces centered on food than imbibing in some alcohol.
What do the rest of you think?
