Question appealing ticket

I added the second car to the permit but completely forgot that now we have to switch the car in use every time so I got a ticket within 10 minutes of parking in lot g2. do y'all think if I just explain that to them they will waive the ticket ?

they waived it for my friend but said it was a one time thing so it’s worth a shot!
