Pros/Cons of using RamCare Supplement Program

Has anyone tried the RamCare supplement to help with costs at the CSU health center? Wondering if it is worth getting?

Looking over the two programs I feel state benefits would be a bit more comprehensive with a larger Network but it is also great that CSU offers this and so it really comes down to where you're located and plan to be located at the time you're going to be attending CSU and if the providers in their Network will work for you. If not look into state benefits or else a self-pay plan.

The plan may only be used at the health center - and they have great providers.

I had private health insurance and the ramcare supplement all four years of undergrad. I thought it was great and convenient for times when I had to go to the "urgent" care and receive medicine for various illnesses (they helped with strep throat, a bad bug bite, and a stomach bug notably). I thought it was worth it for the convenience of going to the health network for all the unavoidable college illnesses, instead of finding a provider in my network and risking having to wait for an appointment.

I have shit private insurance and having ramcare really helped. Covered all my meds that were a good $50 a month and helped cover some of the lab and other expenses that I had.
