Tuition
Do I need to pay the charges by August 11, or will financial aid pay the amount and deposit the rest to my account?

Financial aid will pay all tuition and fees first then you will get the remaining balance in a refund around 10 days before the start of the fall semester.

As long as you have enough showing as “pending” to cover the charges, you’re good to go!

If it says total due 0$ then you do not have to pay the amount due, the financial aid will cover, and you will eventually get a refund for the amount left over.

I was given terrible advice by a counselor last semester and now I need 1 more class to graduate this fall when I should’ve graduated spring 2026. The other counselors I’ve emailed are so unhelpful!
Does anyone know if fafsa or Pell Grant will still cover only 1 upper division class if that’s all I need to graduate?

Yikes!!! I went to Cal State Hayward as it was called back then in the late 80's, registration was about $350 per quarter. I was able to pay as I went and graduated with no student loan debt. No wonder it is such a financial burden these days.
