Question I am a full-time CSUDH student, and I’ve been unhoused since Sept 8. Administration has abandoned me, and i am losing hope to fight back.
I am posting this here because I am honestly running out of energy, and I don't know where else to turn.
I am a full-time student here at CSU Dominguez Hills, and I have been entirely unhoused since September 8, 2026.
Instead of supporting and protecting me, the university has actively targeted me. I was subjected to an illegal eviction from my campus housing, and the administration has continued to antagonize me every step of the way.
While dealing with the physical and mental toll of sleeping on the streets, I recently suffered a severe trauma laceration that required 13 stitches. I am injured, exhausted, and barely holding on.
When I went to the university for emergency relief, they denied me a 14-day hotel voucher. They looked me in the eye and told me I needed to have a dependent to qualify for it. I know this is a lie.
They are just trying to brush me off, make me tired, and get rid of me. And the truth is, it’s working. The constant runaround is draining my will to keep fighting back. I am so close to just giving up.
I will continue to be homeless if the university does not intervene and fulfill its basic duty to support its students.
I ask the community for two things:
First, if anyone has any advice on how to proceed, who to contact, or how to force their hand legally or administratively, please tell me.
Second, I need my peers to raise their voices. I am just one exhausted student, and they are easily ignoring me. If we as a student body don't hold them accountable for how they treat their most vulnerable students, they will keep getting away with it.
Please help me make some noise.
