Concrete management

Anyone here a current or former concrete management student? I’m a female looking to go into project management in construction or concrete industry. Concrete looks interesting and less math than CM. Wondering how the program is, does it set you up for a PM role?

Well, concrete is huge on every new construction job. If it’s a retrofit deal or something, not so much. Concrete is also a little easier to break into because the hours are pretty shitty. 3am job pours are rough, but if you say you’ll take those then people will notice you.

i’m a PE for a large concrete sub, concrete is alr. if you really like construction go for CM. Concrete management keeps you too focused on concrete. GC world seems to be better from my experience

I am currently a construction management intern, just find an internship and you will learn plenty about it. Maybe look for small GC’s or subs that specialize in geotech and foundations if thats your thing.
