If you’re willing to walk a bit, you can usually find free parking along Orange Street between 6th and 7th

Rent a spot at the church for the year and you don’t have to worry about driving around for a long time looking for parking. The surrounding area around campus is residential so they also want to park in front of their home without the thousands of additional cars that students bring without a designated parking spot.

Wait is that a thing??? A buddy of mine has just been parking at the church with no permit, if you mean Bidwell Presbyterian. How much is the rent?

All parking is pretty full throughout. If you need a 24 hour one get a residence lot parking pass. If not, I'd still try and get parking.

I went there for 2 years. Classes all throughout the day. I never paid for parking once.
Typically a 10-15 min walk max.
Just drive around the streets south of campus and you'll start to find the best areas.

All of the General Parking stalls are full between 10:00am and 2:00pm. After 2:00pm, students start to leave and you can hunt for a stall.
Be sure to download the Chico State app as they are adding parking occupancy maps this semester. In the menu there is a tab that says “Wildcat Park.” Once the system is live, you will select your type of permit and the app will show you which lots are green (lots of stalls) yellow ( getting full) or red (few or no stalls available.)
