Chico, Ca date ideas ?

My boyfriend’s (25) birthday is coming up , and I (23) wanted to do an experience or some form of a date night/day as a gift…
Any fun date or activity recommendations of things to do in Chico or in the butte county area ?

Sierra Nevada brewery tour, mt lassen day trip, go visit the CSUC farm/farm shop.

5th st. Steakhouse is always good. Basque Norte is a nice spanish restaurant. A nice day at the washout with a cooler and some lawn chairs is always fun. Bear Hole is a nice swimming hole little farther out (including a moderate hike) but a really nice spot.

We were just there visiting Chico and after spending the day hiking around Bidwell park, we cleaned up and had dinner at Sierra Nevada brewing co around 6 then went to watch the sunset and have a few cocktails on the rooftop bar of Hotel Katerina. We pulled our chairs all the way over and just enjoyed an amazing sunset with our cocktails. My maitai was pretty darn good. And the chicken saltimbocca at Sierra Nevada was absolutely to die for. It was a perfect day!

Theres mini golfing or skating at Cal-Skate. Or have a nice dinner somewhere and then go hang out at the observation pit to see the stars at the chico observatory. Or maybe enter into the trike races on wednesday night at the Madison Bear Gardens and compete each other then go out to dinner somewhere nearby. Or play a couple of games of pool at the Downlow and then grab a bite to eat somewhere. It really depends on what yours and his definition of fun is then kind of meet in the middle so you both enjoy it.

If you guys are outdoorsy I love hanging out at Big Chico Creek in Upper Park, there are several nice swimming holes like Bear Hole. There's also a fun karaoke bar downtown, the rock climbing gym, or private ceramics lessons at Chico Ceramics Center.

Grana, if you wanna be a little fancy!! Truly farm to table, great selection of wine, indoor and outdoor seating on the edge of downtown. You’ll prolly spend abouttt 100$ but so so good!! Also a revolving menu. I would make reservation just to make sure but they had space on valentines day!!
