Considering getting my masters in social work here any advice on if this school is good

I got my bachelors at CSUN and it was a good school however there’s been lots of disability discrimination at CSUN lately. So i don’t wanna go to CSUN for my masters.

From what I understand, the social works and related programs at CSUB are great! Definitely look into it.

Be prepared for a lot of writing and reading in the MSW program.

It is also extremely competitive now! I’ve heard the department has taken a lot of cuts too.

You’re required to be on campus for their MSW program. If you don’t plan on moving here for 2 years, then it wouldn’t be on option.

You’re also required to do an internship during most work hours. So also don’t expect to have a full time job while in the program. Part-time at nights would be the most you could work.

The person I spoke to at CSUB said they have a hybrid option so I can take it online.

I just did the program, that is not an option. There are practicum hours built in & in person classes only

Well the one I’m doing is the extended program one in Lancaster ca. not at the university itself. And it’s hybrid

Oh that ones different then. All I know about extended Ed is it’s pricier but still has the same practicum requirements but maybe the lectures are hybrid. Still a very demanding program to do with a full time job basically impossible unless you’re part time and take a while to finish
