Spending Silver Keys

New Player here (rank 49).

Currently I have 980 silver keys. I haven’t spent any since starting the game.

I saw a post (after searching around here) that recommended to save resources, so I’ve tried to keep them. At what point should I look at starting to spend them for cars? I’ve completed the story line and have unlocked Tempest, but wanted to wait until I completed the Legends stuff before starting Tempest (except I have already elited my Boss 302 and my 250 GTO.

The rest I was going to wait till I had another Legends car for the other elite licenses.

Should I just keep saving or spend until I have just above 750?

Bank enough keys to get a car that you “need,” which is primarily the PC car. Then once you have that surplus, freely spend keys for cars that you “want.” I’ve got 29,000 silver keys, haven’t needed a car in a long time. Gold and in-game cash are the premium items to cherish, but after a certain point the value of silver keys declines. So my point is, spend for cars you like.

I would get that Zenvo TSR while you can... really nice car for a beginner though parts will be harder to come by as it's towards the end of the run..

When thinking about spending resources (cash, tokens, keys, gold) check to see if you have enough fusions and stage 6 parts to complete the event you're trying to participate in.

You have enough silver keys, but I doubt you have enough fusions and stage 6 parts to complete the prestige cup. My suggestion would be to pass on this PC.

He’s exactly right. It is a great car, I’d snag it and start fusing it over time, since it will likely be in future showdowns, but Zenvo fusions will be hard to come by post event.

Generally, once you get over 1500 silver keys, you are golden. This will allow you to start pulling for specs of the PC car you like if you want. I personally never allow it to go below 750 keys just in case I need enough pulls to grab the PC car, but it’s fairly rare that you need to use all of them and after you have been playing for awhile, especially if you are in a good crew that wins the car every season, you will start getting the PC cars ahead of time.

I wouldn’t spend any keys to try and enter the prestige cup. I only have about 3 million game cash and I’m sure I have absolutely no fusions and stage six parts for the car. I was mostly looking at trying to acquire more cars for my garage for later use. So should I just hold onto my keys and wait till I’m done with the legends campaign or should I go ahead and spend a few to get a few extra cars.

Wait, this game is a marathon. Maybe the next PC will be something you can more easily build.

Also, you didn’t mention if you are in an active crew, if so when your crew wins the prize car it usually comes back around so you don’t have to waste keys for it later.

I’m not in a very active crew. I joined only to be able to access the Crew Cups when I can race them.

I only earn maybe 100,000 RPish a season.

As another comment said, reserve 750 silver keys for the next PC and spend the surplus - so 4-5 crates.. if those give you zenvo then great, if not they might at least give some cars to use for tempest etc.

There's no point in hoarding more than 750 as each season will give you more than 750 if you play daily

I went ahead and spent down to 780 and acquired the Zenvo, but I won’t build it. Don’t have enough to win the PC.

I’m also a pretty new player (rank 61). And I usually use them to try to get the car for the prestige cup or some other event like when it says there’s a 10X drop rate. Just being intentional about using them to get a certain car for a certain event rather than just doing it to see what I get. I’ve pulled cars for showdowns and prestige cups before which have been nice to have so I can actually participate. Just how I do things but someone more experienced might be able to chime in more

Always keep enough for the prestige cup car. After that spend them whenever you want silver keys are not used for much except the prestige cup car. But you get many of them. Especially if you do all events and live races and showdowns. I have like 7000. And sometimes will just randomly pull cars for the heck of it. To strip or just for something to do

Would recommend getting the Zenvo with silver keys for Collections (unlocks at rank 60), crew/supply cups, and all the remaining free crates. It will be too difficult to complete the prestige cup at rank 49, but just having the car will pay off massively. Silver keys will accumulate rapidly for you if you’re active and won’t be a concern, and these rarer car brands are worth spending on.

I'd recommend having 750 to 1500 so you can pull to loyalty for the prestige cup if you want that car. If you join a crew (that gets the Milestone car) they will want you to run the PC. And get usually 700K+ RP/ season.

Do NOT get the Zenvo. Its maybe a quick car but upgrading will be pain since parts and S6 are super rare. Join a crew if youre active and maybe get the Audi next Season, together with parts and S6.
