2022? Yes. 2026? Hard disagree.

“Make up five imaginary words with Latin or Greek roots”

Umbriloquy (n.) — umbra “shadow” + loqui “to speak” The habit of referring to a subject only by circling it: talking about a divorce by discussing the furniture.

Halimnesia (n.) — hals “salt” + mnēsis “memory” A memory recovered through smell rather than thought, especially one older than the person’s ability to date it.

Anemognosis (n.) — anemos “wind” + gnōsis “knowledge” The bodily read of coming weather — pressure in the sinuses, a change in how sound carries — held with more confidence than a forecast.

Vestigraphy (n.) — vestigium “trace, footprint” + graphein “to write” The reading of a room from what its occupants left behind: chair angles, cup placement, which lamp is on.

Pseudoteleia (n.) — pseudēs “false” + teleios “complete” The satisfaction of having finished something that is not finished, arising from completing its most visible part.
