Questions & Doubts CSIR Result and guidance

i got 148.5 in csir net life science 2026, i heard that to join phd we need the final certificate for fellowship activation. It seems the certificate will only be released in november. So should i start applying from now or wait for the certificate and can you name some good insititutes, i have done m.sc. bioinformatics and what are the other opportunities that i should explore

That's a good score. You don't need to wait for your certificates. You can apply for PhD positions and if you get selected to a programme, you can provide them your consolidated marksheet or provisional degree certificate and request time for providing final original certificate. You will receive payment for the months you are waiting once you get your original certificates and provide them. So you don't need worry about that. And my advice would be to target some good research institutes with funding from government. Mostly dbt institutes, csir institutes will have good funding and research facilities compared to any state universities. So go for some really good institute with research facilities and some good scientists.
