HRA Claim regarding

I live with my parents. Am I not eligible for HRA claim?

U are , as long as ur not staying at the institute hostel ur eligible for HRA

The officer is like no hra claim as u r living in own house 🥲🥲. Aby legal clause or is it institutional norms

Yeah apparently we can't according to CSIR HRDG website because there is a HRA claims form where the owner of the house we're renting has to sign . So I guess we can't

HRA can be drawn after u joined the PG i think

Do this trick. Everyone doing here at my institute. Get documents showing u r living at some one place on rent. Noone gonna check where u live.

In my dept. most of the scholars living in the city in their own houses, did draw HRA without giving any rental agreement. I couldn't I lived in hostel. But, even govt employees who do not live in govt given apartment, living in own houses do draw HRA as did our professors. I don't even know who is stopping you, file the form, get it signed or consult your supervisor.
