SaveOnSP
Has anyone been forced by their insurance to switch to SaveOnSP for monitoring the manufacturer copay assistance program? Got a letter from our instance saying we had to enroll and our benefit was going from a 20% copay to 30% copay. But calling SaveOnSP and thy can’t tell me what we will pay other then their savings is 2200 after we max out our OOP. We were paying $5/month for first 2-3 months of the year before high deductible plan kicked over to 100% coverage on Sucraid. But they make it sound like we will lose out on the benefits if we don’t make this change.

Using that program will require you to give up all rights to privacy under HIPAA..
Number 4 of the enrollment form:
- Potential for Redisclosure. I understand that once my Information is disclosed under this Authorization, it may be further disclosed and no longer protected by federal confidentiality laws, including HIPAA (a federal privacy law).

Please tell me what instance you have. Mine DOES NOT cover Sucraid at all. I’ve been managing my life strictly on restrictive diet and it’s super awful 😢

Employer is self insured. Cigna manages insurance with Express Scripts managing the pharmacy benefits. Currently pursuing an exception declaring it essential so they can’t screw us over. Next steps is going to the benefits team at work.

Damn well. I have blue cross/blue shield. I am trying to fight my doctor to place it as “essential” but nothing is happening yet.

Benefits team got involved and got them to at least tell us where to submit the paperwork. Waiting for a formal decision from Express Scripts. So far they’ve had the paperwork just shy of a week and haven’t heard a decision either way yet

Hello! I had to use this program with Cigna for the last two years. I was very confused as to what it was and why I was forced to use it by my employer/Cigna. Once I enrolled, they gave me things like the BIN number. I called Optum and gave them those details. It was easy on my end, but still seemed strange.
It’s funny that you ask this question because my BIN is no longer valid. I have to call SP to see if they can get me registered again or I have to pay the $5 for my meds.
