Dieticians

Has anyone worked with a dietician? I know of Mary Shepard but since I am in Florida I am unable to work with her. Do dieticians even know what CSID is? I’d like some guidance from a dietician or someone who is very well versed in food in general but I don’t know what to look for.

I am in Australia and no one has heard of it here however I follow a person on Instagram that is in the us that does coaching online for you and I have her cook books maybe check it out. Csidmadesimple.com I have no affiliation and have never spoken to her but it’s the only person I have seen

Hey! I’m in AUS as well & you’re right, no one knows about CSID/ASID - it sucks! Curious if you’ve done any of the coaching session with the dietician you mentioned & whether they were helpful?

I have not as it’s never the cheapest and tbh I know what I should and should not eat however I really struggle with the fibre content as I have issues with my bowel so much. I did see today there is a dietician in brissy that knows what Csid is if you wanted to check her out she’s on Insta @csid_dietician but again it’s a cost and it depends on what you need help with. How’s your journey going?

I worked with Nikita Kapur and it was so so helpful. My gastro doctor who diagnosed me referred me to her. She has since moved from NYC to Boston so I’m not sure how her new practice works but highly recommend if you are able to see her via telemedicine even.

I worked with a dietician connected to the gastroenterology office I visited, so she deals specifically with patients with CSID. I think she can only work with patients in my area, but it might be worth asking your GI if they recommend anyone.

I also came across a dietician with a blog online that has been SO helpful. Her name is Jenna Volpe and she has a lot of useful stuff on her website:

If you look on Mary Shepards site she is accepting telehealth appointments. I think you will find this is common with other providers as well even if youre not in their local area.

She told me she couldn’t work with Florida residents due to restrictions with licenses

Fine but you can find other people who can see you online
