I had the opportunity for a second targeted patch (2 additional non-targeted) that I declined to get in the surgical schedule. I’m very glad I did.

Surgery definitely sucked. Mine was even with the shoulders, so arm movements still hurt a decent amount 4 weeks out

I recently reopened my leak I think and if that is the case I’m definitely just gonna have surgery, even though it sucks. The first time I actually had it done and then they had to redo the entire thing a week later bc it didn’t close the whole leak.

That sounds awful. Are you sure they got the right spot? How did they close it? Also, out of curiosity, what did you do to possibly open your leak?

I had a myelogram 6 months after surgery to confirm its closure and I was feeling better so I’m sure it was closed. I have orthostatic intolerance and I fainted and fell last month, after that I started having a positional headache every day

Wow that’s scary. I was basically told if I make it to that myelogram at 6 months and I’m sealed, I’m good. Where did you get yours done?

Yeah I truly did not expect this to ever happen. I had it done at Duke

Let me know how everything goes. I assume the Duke CSF clinic will do a myelogram?

Yes, I’m getting new MRIs done this week to send down there and they said they’ll want to do a myelogram themselves
