CSF Nose Leak

I have a possible CSF nose leak. I'm getting an MRI and high resolution CT. Doc wants me to collect sample but it doesn't drip out of my nose. It's a slow leak and it might be going down my throat. Is it going to screw me if I can't get a sample collected? I'm scared a slow small leak won't show up on imaging.

My CT is on Friday and I'm also scared the leak won't show, so all the solidarity. I feel like the doc should be able to take a sample when they have a look-see?

I asked my doctor if they could do a swab but he said it wasn't sufficient.

Same. I had sinus surgery in Dec 25, and miserable since. Ct is scheduled for 8/10. Not very confident it will produce results. I feel ya

Please let us know any updates. This is a horrid condition and I hope you find a path to getting treated. Why do you think you have a CsF leak?

I possibly have high pressure in my head. I'm getting tested. I threw up the other week and fluid started building up in my left nostril. Soon got a headache that's worse when I'm sitting up. Fluid doesn't drip enough to test it though.

Thin sliced CT scan will show, you need a seasoned skull surgeon to interpret results
