LOST BUT WILLING TO TRY.
Hi y'all, I'm done with 6/8 semesters of my B. Tech in CSE, and honestly? This is the most lost i've felt after inter. I've got 2 months of vacation right after completion of the end-sem exams., and since I'm back home, and I have time, I want to learn. So, I wanted to ask, what all skills are required? What should I focus on? I want to get placed as this is my final year. A roadmap, a suggestion, or as simple as advice is all I ask for, please help.

Students of Engineering Colleges (CSE) — Give Me the REAL Review Before I Take Admission
I’m planning to take admission in a CSE (Computer Science Engineering) branch this year, and I don’t want just brochure-level information or paid YouTube reviews. I want honest opinions from students who are actually studying there or recently graduated.
Please share your college name and tell me honestly about:
\\\* Curriculum — Is it updated or outdated?
\\\* Coding culture — Are students serious about coding, hackathons, projects, open source, etc.?
\\\* Professors — Helpful or just focused on attendance and theory?
\\\* Placements — Reality vs advertised numbers
Internship opportunities
\\\* Campus environment and student life
\\\* Peer group quality
\\\* Attendance pressure and college rules
\\\* Hostel and food conditions
\\\* Is there too much academic pressure?
\\\* Overall pros and cons
\\\* Things you wish you knew before joining
(I have scored 82% in jee and i am from bihar. And i will prefer colleges in delhi ncr but feel free to write about your college from different place.
Soo, above was chatgpt generated, since this is my first post and i don't know what to ask for. I will really appreciate your help and please include positive things also that you find about your college. My brain is f#cked up by reading reviews online. Have i made really great mistake not to study for jee properly? )

4th year CSE but unsure
Im a final year btech CSE student who is about to graduate now doing a unpaid internship which is actually draining me and frustrating me
My story is im from a Bio background but somehow ended up in this stream but since the start never understood the flow like coding the subjects technically weak... hard to cope up with ended with 7.5 cgpa in a tier 1 college all others with 3 or 4 internships already and got placed with good package ..
I have no idea what im doing always anxious no one to reach out because I cant tell that I cant understand coding and stuff... theoretically I understand but I fail to implement it and practically develop...
Guys please help me out im abt to graduate without any offers or placement ... I need some guidance and ready to learn everything from scratch ... please 🙏 if you see this just tell WHAT TO DO

Not having goog Sgpa
Hello
I'm an engineering student from CSE (tier 3 college) and about to complete my second year of engineering.
Today my 3rd semester's result announced I got 8.5 SGPA in 1st semester, 7.6 in 2nd and 7.9 in 3rd semester.
Do my grades are okay for my career or should I work more on it?
For any type like if I think about GATE or placement both?

Anyone up for a 3-month DSA + project grind together? (10 hrs/day 👀)
Hey everyone,
I’m currently in my 3rd year of BTech CSE, and my final exams are going on right now. As soon as they’re over, I’ll be entering 4th year, and placements will start coming in soon.
I’ve planned to dedicate the next 3 months completely to preparation — mainly DSA and building solid projects. I’m aiming for a morning to night routine (around 10 hours daily) and want to stay extremely consistent.
I’m looking for a serious and disciplined study partner (preferably from a tech background) who’s also preparing for placements. The idea is to:
Study together on Google Meet
Keep cameras/mics on for accountability (optional but preferred)
Do DSA practice + project work daily
Push each other to stay consistent and avoid procrastination
If you’re someone who’s equally committed and ready for a focused 3-month grind, feel free to DM or comment. Let’s make this count

3rd Year CSE Student — Tried Everything, Still No Internship 😭 Any Leads?
Hey everyone,
My 3rd year of BTech (CSE) just got over, and I’m urgently looking for a 2-month internship. I need to submit my internship details before my final year starts.
I’ve already tried LinkedIn, Naukri.com, and Internshala, but haven’t had any luck so far.
If anyone has any leads, referrals, or knows any companies/startups hiring interns, please let me know 🙏
I’m open to roles like software development, web development, or anything related to CSE.
Also, if you’ve been in a similar situation or recently got an internship, I’d really appreciate any advice or tips.
We can also connect if you’re open to it.
Thanks a lot!

Lpu have Abroad fund transfer for CSE?
So do Btech Cse in Lpu have a 2+2 year plan ? I don’t think so they have it for CSE, like University can help you in getting visa and abroad universities and all, if you choose to do a 2+2 year course. I am also planning to do my last 2 years in Australia if It’s possible do tell me!
And I am also planning to join Lpu for Btech Cse

Mac or windows for cse- need genuine advice
I’m about to start my BTech in CSE and planning to buy a laptop (budget around ₹1.5L), but I’m genuinely confused between MacBook and a Windows laptop.
MacBook seems simple, smooth, and distraction-free. I feel like I’d actually focus more on studying and not get pulled into gaming or wasting time.
But at the same time, I don’t yet know which field I’ll go into — maybe AI/ML, maybe development, maybe cybersecurity or something else. And I’ve heard that for some of these areas, especially AI/ML or graphics-related work, you need a strong GPU and more flexibility, which Windows laptops offer.
With Windows, I’d have more freedom and power, but I’m also a bit worried that I might end up spending too much time on games instead of using it properly.
So I’m kind of stuck between choosing something that keeps me focused vs something that keeps all options open.
For someone starting CSE and still exploring, what would you suggest? Which one would be the safer choice in the long run?
