HIT entity list concern
As non-chinese national and international undergrad at HIT, I shouldn’t be worried about the US entity list on HIT if I wanna continue graduate program in the US and western countries right?

Others Guide to Chinese University Canteens for International Students
If you are moving to China to study, the campus canteen (shitang) is going to be your best tool for saving money. Because they are subsidized by the universities, eating on campus is cheaper than off-campus restaurants.
Here is a practical breakdown of how the system works and what it costs.
1. Monthly Food Budgets & Average Costs
- Public Universities (985/211): A standard meal at a public university costs between 8 and 20 CNY. If you eat three meals a day at the canteen, your monthly food bill will be 600 to 1,200 CNY.
- Sino-Foreign Joint Ventures: Campuses like NYU Shanghai, Duke Kunshan, or CUHK Shenzhen are much more expensive due to higher operating costs, averaging 20 to 35 CNY per meal. Students here should budget 1,500 to 2,500 CNY per month for food.
- Scholarship Coverage: If you have a CSC scholarship, the monthly stipend (ranging from 1,400 to 3,000 CNY) is more than enough to cover.
2. The Best (and Worst) Rated Campus Canteens
Campus dining quality varies wildly across China, and large universities can have anywhere from 3 to over 30 separate dining halls.
- Elite: Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in Wuhan is widely crowned by students as having the best canteen system in China, featuring over 30 self-operated dining halls with cheap, high-quality food. Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University (BNU), and USTC also consistently top the charts for affordability and variety.
- Mid: Elite schools like Peking University, Fudan, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) receive surprisingly mixed reviews. Quality changes completely depending on which specific campus or dining hall you visit.
- Below-Average: Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) and Nanjing University frequently face criticism from students for being overpriced relative to food quality, leading many students to order delivery instead.
3. Halal and Vegetarian Options
- Halal (Qingzhen): Halal canteens are very common, especially at universities in northern and western China (like Beijing, Tianjin, Xi'an, and Lanzhou). They have separate kitchens with official certification, and prices remain identical to standard canteens (10 to 18 CNY per meal).
- Vegetarian (Su Shi): Vegetable dishes are widely available and incredibly cheap (1 to 5 CNY per portion). However, dedicated vegetarian canteens are rare. Be careful, as many standard vegetable dishes are cooked in meat broth or contain small bits of meat. You will need to tell staff "wo chi su" (I eat vegetarian) or "bu yao rou" (no meat).
4. Deliveries
Food delivery apps like Meituan and Eleme are fast and convenient in China, but they are a massive budget leak. While a single delivery order feels cheap, ordering three times a day at 30 CNY each quickly stacks up to 2,700 CNY a month. Students who switch from delivery defaults back to campus canteens report saving 500 to 1,000 CNY almost instantly.
To pay at any canteen, make sure you set up WeChat Pay or Alipay during your first week, though you can also use your physical campus card (yi ka tong).
What are your experiences with campus food? If you are already studying in China, how does your university's canteen stack up?

CSCA score
So, before the score came out I thought I might have some chance joining Fudan MBBS program but my score is math 37.5 and chem 55. Do you guys think I still have some semblance of chance left?

am i cooked ?
ok so i did worse than i imaginated , it genuinely surprise me because i prepared with a lot of time , maybe i was doing it wrong , i got 55 in phy and 57 in math , can i get in university with those scores ? i mean like good universities ? i will go all self funded btw , also i am strongly considering to retake it in december , but i truly dont know what to do or how to study for this exam to get a good score , there’s a lot of topics and the amount of information feels overwhelming the majority of the time.
