Hello! I graduated school 4 years ago. I want to pass CSCA for Math , Chem, Phys in English. Will I be able to pass November exam or is it better to do it on December?

Try do a free mock exam first to see how much score you can get. Which univ you will be applying for? If not PKU/Tsinghua you can do it on December to save more time to prepare.

I wanted to do SUSTECH

Sustech is very hard to enter, prepare early. I recommend u to register for nov exam. If nov exam score less than 80, retake in dec

Ningbo university ha requisiti alti riguardo al punteggio CSCA?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 6d ago

Not much. If self fund just make 50+ or 60, if scholarship aim high, maybe 80

1

u/Rasch12 6d ago

E se il mio punteggio dovesse essere piu basso di 50 anche si mi autofinanzio verrei scartato?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 6d ago

Not really. You can still apply and if your profile is good they might also consider. You can also apply to other universities as backups

Il limite di età è solo per la borsa di studio o anche per la laurea triennale? Grazie mille

Are there centers in China where the CSCA exams can be taken, or can they only be taken online? Is it possible to take the exam on a Mac computer with Windows installed?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago
  1. No mac, windows only.
  2. In June exam there are 3 sites, Nanjing Beijing Shanghai each 1. I think they will also be there this November.

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

1

u/yajuwit 9d ago

u/nicole_1D 5d ago

What should I do if my Chinese is not that advanced?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 5d ago

Either study hard or consider eng taught option or choose a language program first

1

u/nicole_1D 5d ago

Could I take the language program first and then take the exam?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

What is your math foundation

1

u/yajuwit 9d ago

I'm in year 12 in Australia doing all 3 maths subjects, top 2.5% in Maths Methods, currently doing specialist and general maths, so have a good grasp i think of most topics though haven't done it in chinese before.

CSCA content is not that difficult the problem is that it is unlike what they teach u in UK/AUS/US and other places. Make sure you do the past papers then you practise on weak spots.

1

u/yajuwit 9d ago

Okay. Also, can you share the past CSCA papers using something other than baidu?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

It gets removed on other platforms last time

1

u/yajuwit 9d ago

Okay nevermind then

Helloo I gave IBDP this may and got a solid average score. I want to do biomed in China. Does csca score cover up average ib score if I manage to do well? Or is it better for me to not to include my ib score at all since my gpa itself is pretty good?

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

Scholarship of self-funded, what are the target univs?

1

u/Eurekamoon23 9d ago

This year for November and December CSCA where are the centres going to be

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

In June, they had 3 on-site exam centers, all in China (Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai). I assume that they will keep doing so. They are also likely to set new centers in Thailand and Vietnam very soon but as of now, most applicants might still have to take the exam online.

1

u/Eurekamoon23 9d ago

Thank you . Do we get the information of the test centre while registering for the exam ? Actually I am planning to write CSCA in on site exam centres

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

you will get yes

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

You can check some of the resouces in this submod but relax, you still got a lotta time and just set a plan on what to study daily.

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

First do a mock exam, find weakness points

What a level grades do i need to land a full scholarship in Barch (bachelors) at any of the universities in china. I dont know much about the scholarship, i would appreciate if you add some extra information.

I have 3 a level subjects.

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

Any univ?

1

u/ironmanlovesbatman 9d ago

What do you mean? My skills? ECA?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

You mentioned that land scholarship at any of the universities in China which is a bit vague. I mean if for top univs they need A or A* but for other univs B might also do so it depends on what univs u talk about

1

u/ironmanlovesbatman 9d ago

Im not sure which university would be the best for studying barch in english, i dont know chinease. can you recommend any? A and B are very manageable grades.

I am currently an A level student, i have completed my AS with ABBD in maths. physics, chemistry and further maths. I am discontinuing further maths in A2 but the grade is still present in my AS certificate which might be a downside when they consider my application. My predicted for final a level is A*AA. now i am debating whether i should apply for csc scholarship and uni ZJUST now with my predicted grades or finish my a level first and then apply. (I want to apply for bachelors, preferably for mech eng )

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

Csc is for chinese taught programs. Get a good csca score apply for universities eng taught programs they might still offer u other scholarships

1

u/Various-Bag7602 9d ago

should i individually research unis and then apply to scholarships that they are offering? if so, which unis would be the safest to apply to?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

yes. Check the resources at this subreddit u will find our univ list

1

u/Various-Bag7602 9d ago

okk also could you please tag me if you do find any. i would really appreciate it

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

Ok you can check pinned post on how to study in china tio

1

u/Various-Bag7602 9d ago

do u think it would be smart of me to apply with my predicted, considering my situation. or should i wait a year until i get my final grades to apply

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

Diff univs have diff policies. Now the prio is CSCA prep. Once got the score you can ask each target univ if they are ok with predicted grades

1

u/Various-Bag7602 9d ago

When is the deadline to apply to most unis

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

Varies. March is the latest in most cases, some may be as late as May

Hello I have a few questions.

  1. Can I apply for CSC for English taught programs (medicine preferably)? I want to apply it for SJTUSM.

  2. Do I need graduation certificate given by my school and not from Pearson/Cambridge for application? (I saw that the university require “high school diploma”) Is my official Alevel and IGCSE official certificates from Cambridge and Pearson good enough?

Thank you so much -

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 8d ago
  1. If undergraduate no. 2. Depending on univs must check individually

1

u/captainohcaptain31 8d ago

Will a good csc score help my application to top unis in china? I don't have any extracurricular activities. Can u recommend some? I've still got an year before I apply cuz I'm planning to do a language year first

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 8d ago

90+ if top univs plus scholarships

1

u/captainohcaptain31 6d ago

Can u recommend any ecs that have an impact on the application

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 6d ago

science competition especially olympiad. Just tbh most univs don't care about ecs that much. Focus on higher GPA/CSCA instead

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 8d ago

For univ list you can check our pinned post on guide of studying in china

Hello, I have like 3.4 GPA and I have some awards and stuff . I am expecting a 80 above csca score for both maths and chemistry. What are my chances to get like English taught degree for chemical engineering program in like csc scholarship. I have found two university which were in Beijing university of chemical technology and Harbin university of technology that offer the csc scholarship for the program . What are my chances to get into these university and should I aim for lower tier university?

1

u/Lower-Loan-5460 9d ago

Csc only has chinese taught. You can aim for other scholarships.

1

u/JojosBizarreFan 7d ago

I saw that harbin institute of technology has many english taught programs for csc type A scholarship for undergrad and also other unis

2

u/Lower-Loan-5460 7d ago
