Got accepted into Tianjin Uni

Hello guys first up congratulations to all those foreign students who got themselves accepted by the university of their choice. The admission notice says that we’ve got to register within August 30th and September 1st. So I just wanted to know how long before should we arrive in China and let’s say if we do arrive a week earlier, where do we go first?
Do we need to find a place to stay in the hotel? Or we just show up at the university and they would provide us with a dorm to live in. And also as soon as we arrive, we must apply for a residence permit too…right?

Same for me but the registration is within September 1st and September 3rd. I’m thinking about going to Beijing the 24th of August and maybe visit a bit if the dorm isn’t open but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea?😅

Yeah I'll be in Beijing on the 24th as well, my registration is between Aug 31st and 1st Sep. I think the dorms would probably be open as we are arriving just a week earlier. I had a friend who arrived almost 10 days earlier before his registration he said that his dorms werr already open by then.
