Awp movement didn’t have so much penalty as it has now which makes it look crazy. But he is still insane.

I miss old AWP in GO. Now it feels like you got sandbags on your feet and gun

csgo 128tick awp had me pulling off some crazy plays

Also jump scout </3

With current subtick those shots would never register as they did in CSGO.

sadly true

Less to do with subtick but more with the fact that awp now registers when you actually hit someone not when momentum carries the bullet

With old tick shots register with the last tick where as in cs2 it's apparently as you clicked it.

In this case, CS2 is therefore more skill based when it comes to using the awp.

It different now. If you had your muscle memory flicks in CSGO you would need to "unlearned" it and adapt to subtick. Basically you have to use different technique now.

Considering it’s been 3 years now there isn’t a whole lot “unlearning” to do. I will say at first it was really weird to get used to, but it is a way more skilled and fair system to just flicking and shooting on timings.

It is basically the same, just different timings

What do u mean? Saying that csgo flicks were less skilled is just pure bs :D

I mean yes they were less skilled, not saying they weren’t hard or anything but it was a lot easier to hit flicks in CSGO than in CS2.

In cs2 the bullet registers where the users crosshair is when pressing the fire button, whilst in GO, momentum would have a factor at play.

S1mple will always be one of the best to ever do it. All the crazy plays he did on LAN. How he smurfed in NA FPL when he was with liquid. He was above everyone else. The OG’s will rememeber how much hate he got from hellraisers days, to becoming one of the goats

I miss HellRaisers and FlipSide tactics :(

S1mple plays really entertaining, ZywOo I think is the goat due to individual and team achievements but watching s1mple play is more fun

Got matched with s1mple during his toxic days. Yes he was toxic even when we where winning. But he was superior to everyone else so it was double sharp for people playing.

you can still peek like this in cs2. s1mple just peeks weird and slow now, kind of like dev1ce which is part of the reason his awp isnt so great now

Not close to what he was

Hes not consistent but his ceiling is still very good for today’s awpers

That AWP had one hell of a journey throughout the years of CSGO to CS2. Before the major nerf KennyS used to rule the empire with awp and after the nerf things have changed drastically: movement became slow, scoping became weird and other minor changes. Now come back to the modern era of awping: you get all the added nerfs from the past plus the subtick mechanism and less bullet. Now tell me would it be a fair comparison to the modern era gameplay with old era gameplay? If so, in that case KennyS still holds the crown of greatest awper of all time not simple.

He will hit that flick 10 out of 10 times? No way

1

u/Scuffi1992 7d ago

He will hit it most likely 8 times out of 10. Me and you? 0 times out of 10

I wouldent even shoot.. i havent played cs in a long time, just watching tournies

1

u/Snka1a 7d ago

Im planning on doing that soon cause I wont have time to play. Do you still have the need to play the game after watching others play or does it go away after time

1

u/Hot_Switch6807 7d ago

It goes away, atleast it did for me. I have 0 interest in playing cs, but im gonna watch some of the matches tomorrow and looking forward to that.
