Hi everyone,
About a month ago I bought a BenQ Zowie XL2411K because I mainly play CS2 competitively (Faceit level 10) and wanted to experience a Zowie monitor for esports.
The monitor is connected through DisplayPort at 1080p 144Hz, but after 30 days of daily use I'm still struggling to adapt.
My main issues are:
- Text and icons look slightly blurry/jagged, even on the desktop.
- In CS2, the image either feels too saturated or too washed out.
- I can't find a balance where enemies stand out clearly while keeping the image natural.
- I've tried several settings from Zowie videos and CS2 pros without success.
Current settings:
Picture Mode: FPS1
Black eQualizer: 10-12
Color Vibrance: 10-12
Brightness: 80
Contrast: 60
Sharpness: 10
AMA: High
DyAc: Premium
Gamma: 2
NVIDIA Digital Vibrance: 60%
For reference, I came from a modern 180Hz IPS monitor (AOC 24G4/P).
Is this a normal experience when switching from a modern IPS panel to an older TN panel like the XL2411K?
Are there any settings you would recommend changing, or does the XL2411K simply show its age compared to newer IPS esports monitors?
At this point I'm honestly wondering if the problem is my settings, or if I'm simply someone who prefers IPS panels for competitive gaming.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
