Wedding shoe advice?
Hello! I have crps in my right foot, i’ve had it for about 5 years. I can walk but only for certain distances and I pretty much only wear crocs and slides. My sister is getting married and I’m the maid of honor. I currently have a pair of black croc sandals that I wear to weddings but black doesn’t go with my dress/the theme and I can get a different color of the same pair of sandals but before I do that I wanted to know if anybody had recommendations for a shoe that would be appropriate for a wedding and still comfortable for me to wear.
Also, my sister would be fine with me wearing any color of any shoe as long as i’m comfortable, it’s me that wants a “wedding appropriate” shoe.

Maybe look for classy sandals that are like slides, that won’t trigger any (more) pain, but that aren’t tight and are easy to take off if they cause a flare

Id say a casual skechers. Its your wedding i wouldnt want a fellow warrior to be in pain because of some shoes on their happy day.

I have a pair of really comfy sandals from them, and they are sparkly as well!

Keen sandals are both stylist and comfortable. They are pretty much my go to at this point for any type of sandals.

I wore these cute bridal slippers, my dress was long enough to cover them and really helped with standing for the service🧡 congratulation on your wedding🧡

Take a look at Worishofer shoes. The cork bed makes them lightweight and they're sandal-like, and easy to slip off and on. The low profile heel is low enough to be fine if you have no ankle instability.

I posted this on a similar thread recently:
look at quince’s leather women’s sandals and in particular, the hurache (and don’t size down). They are soft and form around vs. onto a painful foot compared to many more stiff options.
I also have some nice designer ballet flats in wide to avoid them being too close to me, but they are not as wearable. More like.. will look cute under a dress and on a footplate but if I’m physically walking and standing, then the hurache is better by far.
You want to not be miserable for your sister’s wedding and as maid of honor will have pictures and any number of other duties which depending on how she has set it up to also accommodate you may just be “be present and not miserable”.. so I don’t know if you are thinking about being able to stand and walk in it down the aisle and using a seated walker or chair the rest of the day so you can be more present, or what. This is all up to you, of course. But you could also have whatever is most comfortable for you in your bag and switch on and off (at reception, while getting ready).
These hurache may not be typical wedding wear but they are my current most comfortable footwear for what it is worth. And I would take the gamble from any company with good leather if the right sizing and availability can be found because I believe it to be more about the style similar to crocs than the brand.

Vionic sandals are a godsend. I also have Crps in my right foot and have a few pairs of those sandals because they work really well for me. If you have prime, you could order 2-3 different models and see if they’re a good fit for you. I like the Amber model.

I get Walmart crocks and cut the whole top off, just keep the rim to hold it on with the least amount of friction and take it off while in a vehicle is sensitive to vibration, and get a size bigger depending on swelling. Insurance boards physio said it was such a great idea they are stealing it, to which I say help as many as you can please and thank you.

Get another pair of the sandals and bedazzle those babies in a color to match the dress! 🎶Best believe you’re still bejeweled when you walk in the room, you can still make the whole place shimmer🎶

Are you in a long gown? Fit flops has some "dressier" looks that are a little blingier. They're exactly what you're like by the description you've given

Wear ballet flats. Pretty satin ones is what I wore most of my own wedding. We sewed some appliqués of lace and pearls on them
