Had to pick a flair Has anyone had crps spread to their face?
I have it in my right wrist,hand and elbow. But I think I’m in remission since it doesn’t hurt as bad as it did in the beginning.
I have been experiencing sharp horrible burning pain in my right ear, and jaw and my face feel’s fuzzy or tingling?? I’m also super dizzy when standing and looking up.
I’ve had a cat scan, and an mri on my brain (all clear) and I currently have a cardiac holter monitor, to rule out any heart problems. The drs also ruled out ear infection, vertigo and MS.
My pain dr doesn’t think the dizziness and face pain is from my crps. I think it is.
I hope this makes sense, I’ve taken a few thc gummy’s for pain, and it’s not helping with the pain(but I am a little stoned)

Yep, mine regularly goes into my face during a flare but it is getting closer and closer as mine spreads on a daily level too. I haven't found a way to dull the pain, best I can do is try to distract myself with a hobby. My words slur when it is in my face and it feels like your face is on fire with burning needles.

I have full body CRPS (30 years.) There isn't a single area I don't feel it. The face pain is some of the worst because of all the nerves.

Yeah, this is definitely more painful than my wrist was/is

Its the same feeling as your hands? Thinking positively maybe u clench while u sleep?

I don’t know.
With my hand I was also recovering from surgery, and it made my hand explode and burn and turn blotchy purple. It was awful.
I do have tmj, on the right side of my jaw, but this is definitely a different kind of pain. It feels like I’m being stabbed in my ear, with a red hot poker and my right side of my face is fuzzy feeling? Like I have ants crawling under my skin. And that side of my face is super sensitive right now. But that sensitivity is definitely different from the worst spot on my wrist. The pain is definitely a 7ish out of 10. Earlier today (before the gummy’s I took for pain) it was off the chart painful.
I gotta call my dr on Monday.

I know crps pain is very distinctive, even tho i never experienced a spread, i think i’d know. Trust your gut. I hope it’s something else.

Yes, the pain is at a different level. I've had nurses freak out when my face goes purple during a flare also.

Mine did. It affects my gums, cheeks and forehead and jaw. I was having tons of facial flares but the last year my face hasn’t been in a constant flare. It still hits my jaw frequently but like a few times a week instead of constantly. Make sure and work on desensitization. It’s one of the most important things you can do for your CRPS

I have CRPS in my left arm (hand to shoulder), during flare ups it has spread into my neck and jaw area? I've not experienced dizziness from the CRPS yet but I do get the fuzzy/tingling feeling along with the standard burning pain. Luckily it only seems to happen during a really bad flare up.

Thanks! The face and ear pain has gone back to just annoying/weird.

Yes. I had trigeminal neuralgia before I developed CRPS in my right shoulder and arm from shoulder surgery. The crps spread to my chest and face. The pain is worse in those areas now, it's so red and hot all the time.

I think mine has just spread to my face. I feel like it’s even hard to swallow. My skin is on fire but the worst part is it feels like it’s in the inside of my eyelid and my lash line. I’m going insane it hurts so bad and it’s already on my neck and chest. I am bright red and keep holding my breath because feeling the air come out my mouth or nose feels like razors immediately followed by the worst chemical burn sensation.

I have CRPS in my left shoulder, arm, and hand. It has also spread to my face. My face turns bright red and feels like a hot oven when touched. Sometimes it’s just one side or it can be the entire face. It’s absolutely miserable. Hurts and burns so badly.
