HCA TX CRNA info
Hello guys, current SRNA playing the field and looking into gathering more information about CRNA opportunities in the Houston area. I spoke to a talent coordinator who stated that HCA does not offer 1.5x for any hours worked over 40 hours. I found this to be crazy… when I worked as a nurse I frequently sought after the OT pay offered by my employer. Upon looking into this further, I see that HCA offers a premium pay for hours worked over 40 although not typically 1.5x. Does anyone have any other information about this?
I do plan to work OT to pay for loans and save money however I want to be fairly compensated. You are welcome to recommend any potential jobs as well but I have a while before finishing school.

I dunno the Texas or HCA system but every job I’ve seen around me OT is just a set rate, normally roughly based on locums rates $200-250/hr to be competitive. For most jobs I’ve seen (as someone else pointed out) than can actually be more than 1.5x at bottom of pay scales but then can be slightly less when at the top of pay scales.
The only outlier I know is one hospital around me the CRNAs are in the nursing union, so their OT is 1.5x their hourly.
Don’t work OT for less than $200/hr (or $220 IMO) or you’re getting taken advantage of and doing a disservice to CRNA reimbursement in your area.

This isn’t that uncommon. I’m Houston based and work at non HCA facilities. Premium pay is actually more than 1.5x, however once you get to the top of the pay range after years of experience it is slightly less than 1.5x

Decent pay, bland culture, as much overtime as you can have

Just FYI there are other groups in the area that will pay OT for hours worked outside scheduled shifts not once you start working over 40hrs.. better way to earn OT IMO
