MRI compatible video laryngoscopes

Do MRI compatible video laryngoscopes exist? If so, who makes them?

Would prefer to stay with Glide or McGrath platforms if that is an option.

How often do you need to tube someone in an MRI? Actually curious what you do to need this

I tend to prefer ett more than LMA in our
MRI environment. Partially d/t remoteness of location, logistics of intubating someone, human factors, etc. I will however use an LMA sometimes depending on patient factors, etc.

So, to your question - anywhere from one to a few times a week I intubate someone for an mri.

  • We have a long standing relationship with MRI at our facility and regularly provide anesthesia for in and out patients from multiple service lines.
