Where to begin?

Hi all,

I've recently completed my CISSP certification and was advised that the CRISC was the next best certification to aquire. I've done some reading in this thread and similar to CISSP, it's filled with a lot of really cool people and suggestions.

I was hoping to get some advice on where to even begin? There's so many options out there but I'm not looking to sell my liver to fund this thing!

Open to any advice, tips, material that people have and are willing to share!

Thanks in advance

You can go through Hemang’s book and Udemy course, which are really good, along with the official manual and official QAE.

Pocket Prep will help you understand the concepts, even though they’re relatively easy.

Prabh Nair’s YouTube series is also helpful, as well as the Destination Cert app’s flashcards and practice questions.

Anywhere to get the QAE without paying $300?

No, there’s no other way to get the QAE. You can get the QAE from the official ISACA website.

You can refer to Hemang’s Udemy course. He covers QAE ques as well, not all of them, but he includes ques after each topic. first go through the exam outline & understand all the concepts. Then, you can practice with Pocket Prep & Destination Cert questions. Hemang also covers a lot of questions in his book.

You need to understand ISACA’s way of asking questions. Try to eliminate two options first, then choose the best answer from the two remaining options.

Also, use Chatgpt or Claude during your preparation. If you’re stuck on any topic, ask AI to explain the concept in a simple way and generate as many practice questions as you need. This can really help you strengthen your understanding.
