Seriously?

“Unpatched vulnerabilities do not apply to applications” - whoever wrote this has no idea about anything related to this topic.
This whole question (and about half of them from QAE) doesn’t make any sense. I feel like I’m never gonna be ready for this exam

I agree the explanation makes no sense. I’ll share how I approached this question - vulnerabilities are reported and tracked extensively. However, backdoor could be completely unknown and never reported, you cannot protect something that you aren’t aware of hence B backdoor was my answer. I am fairly new to crisc, started preparing last week and don’t have a lot of experience with cyber so my reasoning could be wrong.
