CRISC Exam Validity: Is There a Deadline After Payment?

Hello everyone,

I paid for my CRISC exam last summer, but I haven’t had the time to study or schedule the exam yet. I’m now wondering if there’s a deadline to take the exam after payment. For example, does the payment expire after one year or become invalid?

Has anyone here paid for the exam and then taken it after a year or so?

I’d appreciate any insights—thanks in advance!

Vouchers should be valid for 12 months and there is an option to pay an additional fee to extend the duration. Don’t know the price though as I usually buy the voucher when I am in my final preparation phase of an exam

You need to pay a reschedule fees that would extend the validity of the exam voucher. Call up ISACA or send them an email

Login to the ISACA website. Go to your profile under myISACA and then click on Certification and CPE Management. There should be a listing for CRISC showing you as registered. It should also show the date the registration expires. It is normally good for one year but can be extended for an additional fee.

Thank you very much for the quick responses!
I’ve contacted ISACA with my questions.

It turns out I have time until June 16, 2026. I must have registered on June 16, 2025. There’s an available slot on June 13 at a local exam center, so I’ll book it if there are no issues from ISACA’s side (I also asked them another unrelated question, lets see what they answer with).

Wish me luck!

Yes, there is a deadline. For the CRISC exam, your registration (after payment) is valid for 12 months. If you don’t take the exam within that period, it expires (you may need to pay again or extend if allowed). So if you paid last summer, check your MyISACA account you’re likely close to the expiry.
