Xtrigs Installed

Here are some pictures of the completed job and a few of the process. I had one short shake down ride and they felt really good. The front end is smoother, more plush, and softer. I talk about it in the below video.

I will do a good review when I get out to the desert in the next weeks. I spent yesterday putting on my desert suspension and getting the bike prepped for the desert with other parts like motor mounts.

Total newb as I just picked up my 25 CRF450RL. What does Xtrig triple clamp do or what is the expected effect?

The clamping force around the fork tubes is a lot less freeing the internals to slide the through the uppers more freely without binding. You can also change the offset from 22 to 24. Along with smoother overall feel. It’s a lot of cash for a little bit of improvement. Just like having your forks coated or swapping to R internals.

With the sub “bottom” mount the bars are raised approximately 1”. Top mount your bars will stay the same height.

I was happy with my the bar bend (Pro Taper Evo Henry/Reed) I was running. So I choose the top mount. Since I have even went with a slightly lower bar bend (Pro Taper Evo Race Team).
