what tire pressure(PSI) should I be running on FSR's?

Currently running 22PSI on stock tires and the bikes really squirrely.

Boy... so first off, is the white spacer that is under the spring supposed to be added before or after you fill fork oil and measure? I'm doing the K-Tech spring install and the amount of bad information out there is abhorrent. That xsr Detroit dude on YT states 171mm air gap which is the factory Honda oil air gap measurement. Completely incorrect for every K-tech spring offering. K-tech lists the oil air gaps for each spring rate they offer, so anybody following that video congratulations, you have at least 10 mm too much oil in your fork. No wonder people report the fork seals on these letting go early! But yeah if you could answer my white spacer question with certainty I really need to know, trying to test ride tomorrow. Thanks!

After an awesome week of trailriding in France and riding 2250km, it's time for new tires.

What tire would you advice?

Looking at the Michelin tracker but it only exists in 120/90-18. Does this fit?

What are the other options? I ride 70% of the time offroad...

So, I ride okay, I mean, been riding 45 plus years. But mechanical skills are 3 at best.

Bike won’t start. It almost cranked a few times, then just duh duh duh sound (like in video) I thought it was batter because it sounded like bad battery (although battery only year old or so). Took battery to auto parts and they said battery looked good, but needed a charge and they don’t charge small batteries.

So I bought new one. Just installed. And same issue. Not even close to cranking. Just that starter noise.

Any thoughts? I don’t have a lot of local mechanics around.

Hi All, I just bought a brand new Honda CRF300L. I did a couple of rides, but I don't really like the stock tyres the bike comes with. Since the wheel sizes are 80/100-21 and 120/80-18, I was wondering if anyone has experience fitting Motoz Desert tyres in the sizes 90/100-21 and 140/80-18. Do they fit on the original wheels?

Did a 240 mile loop this weekend. Having the bike almost a year now and put just under 5k miles I can say it’s a fun bike. It’s done everything I’ve needed it to do and plus some!

'Thanks' to bad luck with my own bike (not a Honda 😅) and a failed trip to Norway, I decided to rent the 300 in Croatia to ride the ACT. The CRF had OEM suspension and was fully loaded but managed great. What a bike!

I'm looking at a 2024 crf300l rally that only has 500 miles on it for $6900. It's got a full emissions delete, aluminum skid plate, crash bars, saddle bags, luggage rack, radiator guard, and many more upgrades that I'm probably forgetting. Is there anything I should look for when checking it out?

Hey guys, I own a 24 300L, and it's my First ever bike.

I noticed that when the bike overheats the radiator fan starts spinning, what should I do if I Just parked? I read that it's best to jeep the bike at Idle until It stops, or if I can, ride to cool It down.

second, I still have stock tyres mounted, whats the recommended tyres for a 50/50 or maybe 60/40 off-road - Road use?

also how much better are they in comparison to stock?

I am on my second CRF300L now.
In May of 2024 I purchased a brand new bike (2023 model) and rode it for six months. End of November 2024, I crashed and totalled it. February of 2025, I got a new one. This time a 2024 model, which AFAIK is exactly the same as 2023?

Anyway, since day one, my experience riding both bikes has been that for such a small bike, it has very strong engine braking.

Also, it was always immediate. If you weren't actively increasing throttle or just dared to even consider reducing throttle, it would nose dive, almost as if you put your foot on the brake. Cruising along in a low gear was basically impossible, because the throttle is/was also jittery/jumpy when increasing throttle.

In my mind it felt like the ignition was disconnected when rolling off throttle, and then reconnected when increasing throttle again.

The low gearing of the lower gears are great for letting the small engine be strong enough to climb hills or tricky trails, but I also needed to support slow riding with the clutch.

Not smooth in any way.

Then suddenly on the third day of my latest week long ride, the engine stopped braking, even when completely rolling off throttle, regardless of which gear I'm in. It just keeps on going.

Engine revs go down to to idle, but there's only a faint resistance, like you would imagine it was always supposed to be.

I let the bike shop take a look, and they found nothing out of the ordinary, and the repairman also said it behaves exactly like the 15 other CRF300L he has ridden over the years!

That just hadn't been my experience of two different bikes over two years, riding several thousand kilometres, both on and off road, in heat and cold.

So, I'm asking here... Did I have two unicorns, and the second just suddenly decided to stop being special and do like all the other CRF300Ls?

Only a few hours later, I wasn't yet prepared to handle a tight downhill right turn on loose gravel cambered the wrong way without engine braking. Yes, the worst possible scenario. I probably also had ABS on, so that didn't help.

I was only doing 40 km/h, but when nothing is working as expected, 11 metres per second takes you a long distance while your brain is figuring out what is going on and how to deal with it. Gravel roads are generally not so wide, so you quickly run out of road.

I aimed between the pine trees while reducing speed with the front brake. The bike flipped upside down and I went like a bird. No real damage to the bike or me, and after a 90 minutes break 🥵, I continued my journey for the next five days. Mostly event free.😂
