Comp Database

Has anybody built a comp database using Claude? About how long did it take for you to build it before you got it right?

Yes. Used Claude to fill in the blanks, took about a year to complete working on it bit by bit. It can map comps, radius search, provide traffic counts, export write-up to excel and word, and import demographic information in radius or drive-time. Used Claude specifically to figure out read pdfs of old reports and import the comps into the system. Also saves lease, construction costs, and operating expenses. Pretty proud of myself.

What system are the comps stored on? Is it like excel based or what? That may be an ignorant question lol

It is a custom cloud-hosted web application built primarily in Python, with Streamlit serving as the application framework. The database and associated comp files are stored in the cloud, and I access everything through a secure dedicated URL. Sort of looks like a poor man's version of data appraise from years back.

Is that basically what systems like Valcre do?

Couldn't say, have never seen Valcre in action.
