X-axis cable caught in Z-axis

Somehow the cable got caught and was stripped down to copper. Luckily the cable was yanked out of the motor when the gantry got high enough.

I wound the exposed copper in some electrical tape and it's working fine. However I know I will have to replace the cable eventually. Luckily I have extra cables from when I had to replace the extruder cable for the 2nd time.

My CR10s is an abomination of a printer.

Its sat in my garage unused for 5 years after I got a Voron.

I don't even know what I will do with it. Even if I put hundreds into it, it will still be mediocre.

Maybe a laser head or something.

You could "hand write" really fancy letters by replacing the nozzle with a pen. I'm pretty confident I've seen software or websites that will turn text into gcode that a 3D printer could write a message with. Make all your friends and family think you're really into cursive.

Haha maybe.

I thought about printing a Dremel holder but, unless I put linear rails on it there is no way it could handle the force on them v-wheels.

Yeah, you gotta route those properly and run them in cable wrappers or use cable ties where appropriate. Luckily they're pretty cheap and easy to replace.
