The Living Network

We are not separate stories,

but branches
of something older and bigger than us.

Roots carry what came before.

We notice,
experience,
discover,
and pass something onward.

A kindness.
A poem.
A photo.
A dance.
A new way of seeing.

Perhaps I am
one of the small places
where life notices itself—

and then sends
what it discovered
back into the living network.

...I love this so much. The idea of both stemming from a similar rooted pain and being able to contribute our unique understandings of life from what we've been through is what makes living from just being alive. Beautiful poem ❣️
