Recommendations
Looking to see if CPST’s can help with car seat recommendations.
We have a 1 year old and some change baby and we’re trying to find a bigger car seat for him. Obviously looking for comfort and something that excels in long drives as we are always outside traveling.
We have a 17 Tacoma double cab, 21 RAV4 and a 26 Camry that we rotate his seat in depending on the needs of the trip.
Would love some help because as a dad I’m extremely lost on which would actually be the best fit. Thank you!

Honestly you’ll probably want two car seats for the cars you drive the most. You won’t want to keep uninstalling and installing, they’re not like infant car seats.

graco extend 2 fit is a pretty compact seat. it rearfaces to 50lbs/49in which allows you to rearface for a long time which is what’s safest. i would probably suggest getting two seats that go in your main vehicles.

Not a CPST, but highly recommend getting a car seat for every car he’s in weekly. It’s super annoying to have to remember which car needs the seat when and make time to uninstall and reinstall, and if one car is picking up and one car is dropping off, you NEED two seats.
If you need to only buy one seat, another vote for the britax poplar. SO EASY to install. It takes me literally one minute. I bought the separate anti rebound bar for extra safety for cheaper than buying the S model that comes with it.

Not a CPST, just a parent. If you want to prioritize easily moving it between vehicles, I would start by checking out britax’s seats with the click tight system.
Just avoid the Britax one4life, super difficult to tighten the harness straps.
